Blogging by iPad

The iPad I had ordered finally arrived today. I guess for Apple, late April means the last day. My wife, Karen, was at home to receive the delivery. Had I still not had meetings planned I would have wrapped up at the office and rushed home, but I didn't. The Fedex guy told her everyone seemed to be home today to receive these iPads.

My first frustration was that I had to sync the iPad to iTunes before I could use it. If you've read my earlier posts you'll know I've had some computer issues recently. I had got the OS back on the system yesterday and I was able to unwrap the 266GB .MIG file back to 32 bit XP (took about 14 hours) and the files are all fine. So, I moved my iTunes files back to their previous location and installed iTunes and synced the iPad.

What a joy this device is. Really simple to use – once you are used to the key placement. And the fingerprints don't when you are using the device, as I am now to write this post. What I have noticed is that to write in wordpress you have to use the HTML mode, not the visual mode. No biggie. So here I am, blogging by iPad.

Tomorrow I'm off camping with my son. And it looks like it will a lot of the weekend. So it will likely be next weekend before I really get to grips with it. Much as I don't want to, I'm going to leave it at home.
