The image below was taken a few minutes after yesterday's shot with the sun bisected on the horizon. The film stock was fuji Provia 100 ISO. I'm not sure if the film now 23 years old, is suffering from aging or original reciprocity failure. I know the film was processed by Mei Hua Photo Trading in kuala Belait, Brunei (I can't find them in Google today). I would then have brought it back to the UK and stored it till 1995 before moving to the us, then moving apartment once before boxing and moving to Paris where it was stored in the ‘cave' assigned to our apartment for two years before returning to the us and then being moved three more times. The two transatlantic legs were in a 20 ft container on a ship so storage conditions will not have been ideal.
Preservation is one reason why I'm slowly scanning my collection now.
Below this image is another one I ran off quickly in Photoshop. I duplicated the layer, changed the blend mode to ‘vivid' and then cloned out the clouds to arrive at a more abstract black, red and yellow image that I quite like.
