Daily Photo – I’ve Been Spotted

I've titled the last in my camel series, ‘I've been spotted'. I wasn't watching the camel all the time, I had a reason for being there (not that I can remember the specific reason right now – maybe I was shooting an uphole close by).

The camel has wandered further away from me to the north-east but in this image it's as though it's looking directly at me (clearly evident at 100%). Maybe it was me or, if I was shooting an uphole more likely the rattle and hum of the , the camel certainly looked in my direction one more time.

After taking this shot the camel went its way and I went mine. I never saw it again. I like to think it found what it was looking for and didn't end up like the desert shipwreck I posted previously – although we all end up as shipwrecks sooner or later – later hopefully.

The lens compresses the distance. From the camel to the hazy jebel in the background is about 20 km or 12 miles.
