There must be a bazillion islands in Phang Nga Bay, some of them habitable, most of them not and, of course, the one featured in the James Bond movie, ‘The Man with the Golden Gun'.
That brings up a memory I have of my father taking me to the movies. My brother and I wanted to see the ‘Stardust'. Not the 2007 movie, the 1974 one about the rise and fall of a rock singer in the 1960s. My brother and I were too young to see the sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll on the big screen so we went to see ‘The Man with the Golden Gun' instead, a good old fashioned, over-the-top, mayhem movie. The James Bond movies never seem to be lacking for interesting locations.
A sea canoe lets you get up close and personal with the islands in the way a long tail or other boat does not – at least where there is no beach.
In today's photo, the rain has moved on and we're back in the sea canoes once more.
