I'd like to give a shout out to Cicily Renee (@CicilyRenee), winner of the first round of @Photo_Wars (Beginner).
Cicily's from Chattanooga, TN and started taking pictures just to capture significant moments in her life or when she traveled to different places. However, when she started doing photography for her church, she was encouraged by her pastor to seek photography as a profession.
As Cicily tells it, “I have not had anything published and the only training I've had was a basic photography class and most recently a few youtube videos. Since, my plan is to do photography professionally, I'm currently looking for training courses or a certificate program to attend. Other than what I stated previously, I take pictures because I love to see the reaction I get when I capture something unexpected and it's an old cliche but a good one, “A picture is worth a thousand words”. So what started out as a simple just for the fun of it type of thing, has now became a passion for me.”
