So I've finally located this site on Google Maps. It's pretty much 16 miles south of Bothaville in the Free State. The grain elevators are just to the west of R719 and it's labeled Skoonspruit, not schoonspruit. As we used to get our place names from official government maps, I'm sticking with my spelling.
Here we have another storm rolling in after dusk. We'd frequently sit outside in cam chairs drinking beer from long-toms and watch the weather roll by. In this case a storm rolls by to our north with lightning forks illuminating the surrounding skies. You can even see a lightning trail within the cloud. Off in the top left corner, the moon attempts to shine through the clouds.
