All that is now
All that is gone
All that's to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
(Roger Waters)
This is a shot of the partial solar eclipse of December 4, 1983. Well, partial from where I was in Exeter, England. It just happened to be a cloudy day so there was no Mylar filter or any of that exotic stuff, just a direct frame of the sun being filtered through the clouds.
Had I been in Gabon, the DR Congo, Uganda or Ethiopia I would have been treated to an Annular Solar Eclipse where the moon fits inside the sun but leaves a small ring of the sun visible.
Of course, I can't think of an eclipse without thinking of the song of the same name from the Pink Floyd album, The Dark Side of the moon
Below is a black and white rendering of this image.

Eclipse
(Roger Waters)
All that you touch
All that you see
All that you taste
All you feel.
All that you love
All that you hate
All you distrust
All you save.
All that you give
All that you deal
All that you buy,
beg, borrow or steal.
All you create
All you destroy
All that you do
All that you say.
All that you eat
And everyone you meet
All that you slight
And everyone you fight.
All that is now
All that is gone
All that's to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
