The Maine Event – Day Four

The Maine Event – Day Four

So my Maine Event came to a close today in a damp and soggy fashion. It was raining quite hard before sun up so I turned off the alarm and went back to sleep. This was probably a mistake but I'll never know for sure.

When I did leave Belfast at around 10:00 it wasn't really raining but the cloud hugged the ground and the sounds of the fog horns drifted in through the fog.[ad name=”post”]

Because of my late start I had to abandon my original plan and just settle for traveling down the west cost of Camden Harbor. But for the rain, I'm sure Camden was the prettiest town I passed through on the trip.

I was frustrated at Port Clyde by an imbecile who parked his van in front of the obscuring the view when everyone else was parked in the visitor lot. The guy was too selfish and wouldn't move back the 20 yards it would have taken to fully reveal the keepers cottage.

Still, as a foggy, white on white day, it was pretty much a blow out for me. I'm back in Boston tonight and will be back in Katy tomorrow afternoon, feeling fortunate to have been able to spend some time in Maine and disappointed that the time was so brief.

And looking at the rough cuts tonight it looks as though I've picked up some crud on my sensor!
