You don't have to get dressed up to enjoy Mardi Gras but I guess there are some that can't resist. This lady is certainly getting with the program.
This lady was riding with the Krewe of King Arthur in their 2009 parade. Her costume and face paint are resplendent with these traditional colors. She's chosen to use face paint in place of a mask.
As I've mentioned before, Mardi Gras is a great family occasion. This image exemplifies that.
I thought I lead off with this image of one of the Flambeau carriers from the 2010 Endymion parade. This was taken as the parade was about to set off. This guy was one of a group of about eight, all similarly dressed for their march to the Superdome. The torch is fueled from a propane tank secured to the frame on his back.
