Daily Photo – Jackup at Sunset
Of course, I was in Brunei to look for (more) oil. This is a shot I took of a jackup drilling rig and supply boat at sunset one evening. I'm standing on the beach and my best guess is I used a 500mm for this shot.

Here's another of those wonderful Free State sunsets. A tree, a wind pump, telephone lines and a farm building are silhouetted against a burning orange sky following the setting of the sun while bands of clouds hang ominously in the sky.
Once again, at the right time of year, the sunsets in South Africa provide a fantastic display of color. This image is taken in the Willem Pretorius Game Reserve in the Free State.
If you look at yesterday's image you can see the telegraph pole to the left of center. Taken on the same day but with a telephoto and from a slightly different location.
Still in the Free State, the Theunissen camp once again provided some wonderful sunsets. Plus, here we were actually camped on some higher ground on the edge of the pond rather than in the pond. Of course, we were aided in this by the fact the pond had water in it when we arrived.
As you can see, the ground in the camp was quite waterlogged, though this wasn't the worst camp site flood by quite some measure. See the image at the bottom of the post for the most waterlogged camp site!
