Here's another room with a view from a cave dwelling in western libya. It may be from the second chamber of the four chamber dwelling but I've no records to say it is or isn't. The reason I think this is a different dwelling is because of the location of the sand within the dwelling.
This small cluster of dwelling suggest some form of community, though probably not a large community.
From this darkened tunnel I look out onto a super bright desert. It must have taken some time for these folks' eyes to adjust when the entered and exited these spaces.
I wonder how long it took the makers to excavate these places and what tools they used? Whoever cut this cave must have been living in the vicinity for some time which means there must have been reasonable supplies of food and water close by at the time.
