Having explored another hong it was time to paddle back to the boat once more. The rain had moved out some time prior but the sky remained overcast.
I took this photo emerging from the last of the hongs we would explore that day. After this we would head back to phuket.
The boat lies at anchor in a space surrounded by karst outcrops. My fellow travelers are already boarding the boat as we emerge from the cave.
As with the flower, clinging to the edge of the cliff, the trees and bushes clinging to the edge of the cliffs are just accelerating their own doom. As they grow bigger, their root systems are forcing the crevices into which they cling ever wider until the day when they, and the rocks they cling to, will tumble into the sea below.
