So I don't know but I do assume that the building here is some sort of mill house on the banks of the Li river somewhere not too far from Guilin in China.
I'm making that supposition based on the rectangular hole in the lower right corner of the river-facing wall that just happens to line up with the the channel down the bank and out into the river.
I don't think any visit to Guilin is complete without a cruise down the Li River. The best views, however, are from up on deck rather than in the cabin of the cruisers.
