I'm guessing the movie was called ‘Club Girls' but I'm not really sure as the poster refers to ‘Clu Girls'. There were several things that drew me to this poster. Chief among them was the hand-drawn nature of it. Having been used to the slick, Hollywood style of movie poster this almost home-made poster was quite extraordinary in my experience.
I guess that the movie came in both English and Cantonese variants given the use of both languages on the poster. I'm also guessing that by posting ‘Today Cantonese', the movie theater was trying to warn English speakers to stay away. After all, if they were trying to attract the Cantonese speaking audience, the sign would have been in Cantonese!
I didn't see the movie so I've no idea what it was about but I'd guess its a girl-meets-boy, girl-loses-boy, girl-meets-boy-again-and-lives-happily-ever-after movie with a bunch of martial arts thrown in for good measure. I remember traveling on long distance buses in Thailand and malaysia and that seemed to be the theme of every movie they screened on the buses.
