Daily Photo – Jackup at Sunset 4

So here's the detail view of the classic three view coverage of a subject. The first in the series was the overview, the broad expansive view of the scene. Yesterday I published the vignette, the honing in from the overview into a particular zone of interest. And here is the detail – a further narrowing of the vignette to a specific detail within the view.

All three shots were taken with different lenses, they're not enlargements of the same frame. You can tell that by the way the clouds have moved in each scene.

Back in the film days I never really worried about changing lenses on the or in the . The impact of a piece of dust entering the camera body was relatively small. In the DSLR world I try to be more careful since every piece of dust that winds up inside the body ends up being attracted to the sensor and becoming a dark spot on the image – a spot that is even more noticeable at the small apertures often used to extend the depth of . Tomorrow I'll move on from this jackup series.
