Today's photo is another shot of the Philadelphia in Aldbourne Square. There's also a black and white rendering below the color one.
If you were to look at the image full size, you'd notice that the tires were made by Continental Tyre. I just took a spin by their web site but couldn't find ‘traction engine' or ‘road locomotive' on the site so I'm guessing these tires aren't among their most popular best sellers.
Now, while they are Continental Tire in the us, they are Continental Tyre in the UK. I have to say I found their us website better for a visitor than their UK and Ireland website but I still couldn't find this line of tires their either web site.
Thankfully, being of solid rubber, it's not as though thee guys are going to suffer a flat which is just as well, because if Continental don't have these on their website, the AA or RAC are unlikely to have them in their patrol vans either.
All of which leaves me to wonder what these guys do it they break down on the road. My guess it it takes a pretty hefty wrecker truck to tow one of these beasts, especially up and down the hills of rural wiltshire!
