It must seem like I've been hiding out for the last couple of weeks since my last post was back on the 9th. Actually, I've been working on a couple of projects that have consumed my time but learned a bunch more lighting theory and practice along with a whole load more Photoshop. I've also started learning a touch of video for some upcoming projects that are still half-baked in my mind.
But now, back to the li river near Guilin in china. As with my other photos in this series, this was taken from a regular old tourist cruise on the river.
In the scene I like to think the lady in the boat at the foot of the cliff is sneaking by, hidden from the gaze of the lookouts in the pagoda above. I've gone OTT on the processing on this one – a touch of experimentation on my part but I like the outcome.
