I think we've all had that experience of knowing exactly where we put something and then not being able to find it there when we need it. I think that's what's going on in this photo. Either that or he's winding up another old 78.
These two couldn't be bothered to stow their panniers, they just tossed them on the roof of their boat unlike the lady with the load of sand in yesterday's photo. From the riverbank at the top of both images I can tell these two boats weren't actually that far apart when I shot the two photos.
Now I'm curious as to the purpose of the pole at the stern that appears to pass right through the hull of the boat. I wonder what that could be for – any ideas?
