In yesterday's post I presented an image of the nave of Salisbury Cathedral, in Wiltshire, England.
This view shows the tower and spire reaching up to the skies. It was taken from the north-west corner of the close from the intersection of the West Walk and Choristers Square.
The cathedral close – the grassy apron surrounding the cathedral – covers 80 acres or a little over 32 hectares, if you've any concept of how large a hectare is. I have no concept of a hectare so I stick with acres.
The tower and spire reach up 404ft or 123m if you prefer.
What struck me when I took this image was the vibrant green tree on the left against the red tile roof of the house behind and the tower and spire reaching up through the gap between the trees.
