The Silver Lining was a jewelry cart in the Westfield Horton Plaza in San Diego. In this photo, three sailors peruse rings. Well, two of them do. The other seems to be gazing at the ear rings. Modern-day wanna-be pirates? I didn't hang around long enough to know if they actually bought something. This cart was in an open walkway that splits the plaza diagonally. I don't remember it being windy so I'm not sure why the sailor in the middle is holding onto his hat. I still wonder if the shoe shine was a result of hours of polishing or the nature of the material the shoe uppers were made from.
